Welcome to ReNew: The Green VBS! ReNew is an environmentally focused VBS program that inspires kids and adults to grow in faith, have fun, and change the world as they practice stewardship of creation. This year we will be studying Jesus' parable of the Sower from Mark 4:1-9. It's important for us to listen to Jesus' stories because that's God's love, the Gospel, is planted within us. When God's love takes root in us and grows up within us we have more than enough love to face hard challenges and share with others, including God's creation. So get ready for a fun filled week of learning about God's creation
Classes
We will have classes for all kids, starting with preschoolers and going through 5th grade. Classes are determined by what grade you just finished. Each class will rotate to different activities (crafts, games, music, and learning time) throughout the evening. Adults, we didn't forget you either! You have a class all to yourself! Here's a list of the break down of classes:
Nursery
Preschool (2, 3, and 4 years old)
Kindergarten and 1st Grade
2nd and 3rd Grade
4th and 5th Grade
Adults
Middle and High School youth are highly encouraged to volunteer!!!
Registration and Volunteers
Registration begins Sunday, May 8! You can register your child, or yourself, for a class by filling out a registration form at the information center in the fellowship hall. Also watch your mailbox for a registration form that you can fill out and bring back to church.
If you would like to volunteer to help out with VBS, please sign up on the volunteer list at the information center in the fellowship hall. There are still plenty of spots to help out. There are all types of volunteer positions, from leading groups to helping out with snacks. There is something for everyone!
We also need people to provide snacks. Feel free to bring the following non-perishable goods to church and leave them in the fellowship hall in the box marked "VBS Snack Donations."
If you are interested in volunteering, please let Virginia McLean know!!!
